At first sight there are big savings to be made buying in France or at any of the major supermarkets but we would urge you to be sure that you are comparing “like with like” including additional costs. For example: the cost of hiring a van, getting to and from France, fuel and your time should be added to the cost of the wine. Also you will not be able to buy from France on a sale or return basis and that could be an important factor. Caterers charge only for bottles opened – effectively sale or return.
You may also find it useful to compare prices from our local importer who will supply on a sale or return basis and who will deal with you on a personal one to one basis.
